Playing with Pumpkins
This year, we tried a few different activities with pumpkins. William painted this little pumpkin and we carved two bigger pumpkins. He really enjoyed painting, except for the mess. He didn't like getting the paint on his hands and feet which is unavoidable when the artist is a 2 year old.
This was the pumpkin that I ended up carving. It was a lot bigger than what I originally thought!
William decided that his friends needed a good spot to watch us. So, he set them up on the kitchen floor.
Here's the Jack-O'Latern that Allen made with William. Unfortunately, I didn't get a picture of it when it was lit.
Here's the one that William and I made.

You guys are great carvers!! Claire loves to paint as well, but hates the mess. It doesn't seem worth it sometimes....she gets ONE speck on her hands and has to stop everything and get clean. The wait is what it is...so glad I have children to keep me busy. We are fast approacing the 6 month mark.
Painting a pumpkin is such a great idea. I like it so much that I stole it. Dalton had a blast painting our leftover pumpkin yesterday afternoon. Little kids and pumpkins make such a great pair. Hope you all are doing well. Maybe we'll get to see you again soon.
