Gotcha Day
Angela's mom came in late Tuesday night so we were all a little tired when we got up Wed. morning (hence the bags under the eyes). It took us nearly 1 1/2 hours to get to the Jonah House from the place where we are staying. We had to make two transfers on the MRT and then take a taxi. We made it at exactly 10:00 AM on the button and were sent right up to the second floor where we met Penny Wu and our social worker, Maria Hsu. We were expecting to have to wait to see William, but they had us take our shoes off and we looked up to see the head nurse bringing him to us.
We were allowed to take pictures of some of the other babies being adopted by families on an e-group that Angela is on and then we bundled William up and headed back out. Our visit was over pretty quickly as a Canadian family came earlier than expected to pick up their child.
You could tell in the way that the staff interacted with William that they truly care for him and the other babies under their care. Here is a picture of William with our social worker, the head nurse, and Penny.
