Chinese New Year

We went to a Vietnamese Tet/Chinese New Year party hosted by one of the families in our international adoption group. Chinese New Year was February 18th this year. We had a lot of fun. I went early and helped wrap Vietnamese spring rolls. When I was a kid, I used to help my mom make Chinese egg rolls but we always used flour wrappers. The rice paper wrappers were a lot harder to use.

Allen brought William over later and he had a blast playing with the other kids. We dressed him in a Chinese outfit that my sister bought. You can't see it in the pictures, but the hat has a long braid on the back of it. William loved wearing the hat.
