New Pets
In the last few months, we have welcomed two new pets into our house: one cat and one dog. That brings our total up to three cats and a dog. My parents think we are crazy. What can I say? We are suckers for fur babies.
We found our dog, Ginger (Gigi for short), through the Humane Society. No, we did not intentionally choosing rhyming names for our last two pets. We definitely would not do something that cutsy. We named Nee-Nee first and then Gigi came to us with her name. She is an Australian shepherd mix and is about 9 months old. She is also full of energy.
It has been a while since we have had a kitten or puppy in the house. I had forgotten how much energy they expend. It didn't take long for me to remember! You can only imagine how busy things get with a kitten, a puppy, and a 19 month old running around the house!
Nee-Nee (short for Nefertiti) is a manx mix. It took a long time to get used to the short stub of a tail that she has. A full manx has no tail at all. Nee-Nee's is about 2 or 3 inches long.
