Our Adoption Story

We intially created this website to update family and friends about our journey to adopting a baby from Taiwan. We traveled to Taiwan in December 2005 and brought home our wonderful baby boy, William Ke-Fan. The blog has been such a hit with family and friends that we have decided to continue it.

Grandma Comes to Visit

My Mom came to visit us a few weeks ago. She stayed for almost a week and it was good to see her, but I think we wore her out! She took care of William the day after she got here while Allen and I were at work. By the time I came home that night, my Mom was pooped! She said that she wasn't used to chasing after a toddler all day long.

William really enjoyed seeing his "Mama". This is his attempt at saying "Ah-ma", which is Taiwanese for maternal grandmother. They read books, watched a video of Chinese children's songs, and played a lot.

While she was here, we tried to take some pictures of William in a Kung-Fu outfit and a robe that my Dad bought for him in Okinawa. The robe has a really neat dragon on the back of it. Now that William is so active, I had a hard time getting many pictures of him sitting still. Maybe my Dad will have better luck next month!

Mom brought early Christmas presents from my sister for William. He loves his new toy cell phone. Thank you, Ai-Yi!

LOVE the kung fu outfit! So cute! I know what you mean about trying to get a picture of a toddler--they move soooo much and soooo quickly don't they???
