It's amazing to me that William's vocabulary has exploded in the last month or so. He is now able to say somewhere between 30 and 40 words that we recognize. I am sure that he says a lot more than that, but we just haven't been able to figure all of them out, yet. He has also started saying a few phrases, like "Where'd you go?" and "Be right back". He talks to himself and to us constantly. It's a mixture of baby talk and actual words right now. As his vocabulary increases, so does his ability to articulate himself. He definitely knows what he wants and is pretty good at telling us.

We have been working on identifying body parts for the last few months. He knows head, hair, eyes, nose, mouth, tongue, teeth, ear, tummy, foot, toes, and back. I love to ask him to point out his eyes because he does so by squeezing them shut. We think that he does this because when we first worked on pointing out eyes, he would poke me or Allen with his finger. Our natural response was to close our eyes to avoid getting them scratched.
Lately, we have been working on animal sounds. His favorite one is "Moo". He can say "Meow" and can roar for lions and tigers. It is so fun to practice new words and sounds with William because he loves to learn. He has such an inquisitive nature.

William has been able to blow kisses for quite a while. Now, he has figured out how to give real kisses on the cheek or mouth. It is so cute to watch. He is very deliberate and concentrates really hard to make sure that he does it just right. Afterwards, he is so pleased with himself that he laughs and giggles.
