Talking
I thought I better record some of William's "words" before I forget them. I have a feeling many of these won't be in use for much longer.
"boppy" = apple
"boppy" = pineapple
"tinkle" = star
"tinkle" = yogurt
We were teaching him Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star when he learned about stars and yogurt. Hence, the common word. It's cute to listen to him "sing" the song. He has the tune down pretty well now. He really punches out the bolded words.
Tinkle, Tinkle Little Star...
hmm hmm hmm hmm hmm hmm Are...
hmm hmm hmm hmm hmm hmm High...
hmm hmm hmm hmm hmm hmm Sky...
Tinkle, Tinkle Little Star...
hmm hmm hmm hmm hmm hmm Are.
Here are some of his other words:
"bu-puh" = Grandpa
"babby" = Abby
"nee-nee" = cat (That's the name of one of our cats.)
"Ma ma ma" = Grandma
"ah-juss" = orange juice

Claire is so patient with us as well. She has three words..elmo, almost, and animal..they all sound alike.
We should plan a playdate at the park if the weather ever improves.
William is looking so much older. Where did your baby go???

Mommy, don't forget about William's singing... he's really beginning to carry a tune, and seems to have a good ear and sense of rhythm.
William is so adorable - and getting so big. Sam's language is developing really quickly as well; he went from saying "Me want milk" to "Mommy, can I have some milk please?" in just a matter of a couple of weeks. Before you know it, William is going to be talking circles around his mommy and daddy! ;-)
I can't wait until the boys are at the same daycare again - I miss seeing William's sweet little face when I pick up Sam.
I hope you all have a fun, restful summer!
- Mac
