Starting Daycare
Well, it's been a while since our last post. Quite a bit has happened since then. William started daycare a few weeks ago. A few days into it, he came down with a cold and an ear infection. We think that he may have caught it from the pediatrician's office the week before. Needless to say, all three of us were sick. We were worried about William for a while because he was only drinking about 10 oz of fluid a day for a few days. He's supposed to drink around 25-30 oz a day. We took him to the doctor and she said that it was due to his congestion. She gave us some medication and he is finally back to normal. Thank goodness. A happy baby makes for a happy household.
Angela started back to work last week. It has been hectic trying to figure out our routine. This is rather difficult given that our schedules vary depending on the day of the week. Fortunately, our caregivers are very flexible. That was especially helpful while William was sick. Now that he is healthy, things are going much better. The last few days, William has really opened up at daycare. He is playing with the other babies and talking up a storm.
He is also very active at home. William crawls all over the living room and is pulling up on everything. We bought him a toy for him to "walk" with, but he's not very good at using it without help. So, he prefers to pull up on furniture and other random objects laying on the floor. We have to keep both eyes on him at all times.

He has developed a style of crawling that is pretty funny to watch. He crawls with his right knee and his left foot. We think this is because he wants to stand up, but hasn't quite figured out how to do that without holding on to something. He has been able to stand for a few seconds on his own before grabbing ahold of us. We have a feeling that it won't be long before he is cruising around the house.

How Exciting!! My little guy also did the straight leg crawl, he wanted to walk sooo bad. Glad to hear the daycare transition is working out well. It's amazing how well kids adapt to change. How great that you were able to be home with him for so long.
You have a beautiful family, thank you for sharing(I'v been reading for months and you've been quite source of inspiration)
