In May, we spent 6 days visiting my parents. Unfortunately, my dad was only home for the first half of our visit. He had to go on a business trip. Before he left, my brother and sister came into town and we celebrated William's 2nd birthday and Mother's Day. William needed no encouragement to open presents this year.

He received lots of fun toys from everyone and some nice clothes from his ai-yi (aunt). My parents gave him a basketball hoop. We set it up once we got home and he loves to play with it. It took him a while to learn how to shoot the ball, but now he is a pro. He absolutely loves to play basketball with Mommy or Daddy.

We went to the zoo with my parents. William loves animals and it was a lot of fun to watch him get excited about animals that he had only previously seen in books. He especially liked the monkeys, the fish and reptiles exhibit, and the big cats (leopards, etc.). It was a great time except for the heat.
