Happy 1st Birthday
William turned one a couple of weeks ago. We had a mini celebration on his actual birthday since Mommy was sick that day. William opened his presents (with a lot of help from Mommy and Daddy). He got a pirate ship, a set of kitchen toys, and a corn popper. We had taken him to Toys 'R Us the week before and let him pick the toys out, thinking that he would forget by his birthday. Sure enough, he was delighted with his new toys.
The pirate ship is William's favorite. It is on wheels so he pushes it around the living room. It has removable pieces which William promptly disassembled and started munching on (he was teething at the time). It also plays fun noises, like a pirate laughing, a talking parrot, and sea shanties.
We visited my parents the next week and celebrated again. We had a cake at their house. William didn't quite know what to do with the cake when I set it on his high chair. He ended up being more interested in the balloons on the cake than in the cake itself.

Looks like a fun 1st birthday for little William. He is such a beautiful little guy...he reminds me quite a bit of Zack.
(we have been thinking about getting that pirate ship..looks like a hit)
Happy Birthday,William!
We love you.
